With 28 years of dedicated service in law enforcement—including extensive experience in patrol operations, criminal investigations, and supervisory leadership—I, Larry “LEW” Walters, Jr., am committed to leading the Central Police Department with integrity, accountability, and respect for the people we serve.




Law Enforcement Experience: 28 Years
• Began career in 1995 with the West Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office
• Promoted to Corporal; Operations Manager, Work Release Center
• LSU Basic Training Academy graduate; POST certified
• Uniformed Patrol and SWAT Team member with advanced tactical training
• Deputy of the Year (2000)

• Patrol Officer in multiple districts
• Detective, Armed Robbery Division
• U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force Officer
• Promoted to Sergeant and Lieutenant in Uniformed Patrol
